Video Blog: Do I Need A Lawyer For Estate Planning, Or Can I Hire A Paralegal?

Attorney Jeffrey P. Coleman answers a common question about whether you should hire a paralegal instead of a lawyer when doing your estate planning.

Video Transcript: In my viewpoint, there is absolutely no reason why you should not hire a Florida licensed attorney to give you the legal advice that you require to establish your estate planning.  The expenses involved are not that great and it is necessary that you have proper legal advice.  To give you an example, people don’t seem to have a great deal of problem writing a check every single year for life insurance, and yet, they are afraid to spend the money necessary to have the proper administration of that life insurance put in place and they won’t have to spend the  money on the lawyer every year.
